Thanks to the completely uneventful, national President’s Day, I almost thought today was Monday. In our school district, this is usually a 2-day holiday, but today has become a snow make-up day. I wonder if there’s a White House rule that everyone gathers to wish the President a “Happy President’s Day” one time and then not mention it again for the rest of the day? Could you imagine hearing it all day long from countless people? Gaw, that would get annoying real fast. Okay, moving on…
This week’s Triple Lyric Tuesday choices are:
“Who knows how long I’ve been awake now. The shadows on my wall don’t sleep, they keep calling me; beckoning.
Who knows what’s right, the lines keep getting thinner. My age has never made me wise, but I keep pushing on and on and on and on…”
~ Nothing Left to Say by: Imagine Dragons
“Give me your lips for just a moment, and my imagination will make that moment live. Give me, what you alone can give…”
~ A Kiss to Build a Dream On by: Louis Armstrong
“To this world, I’m unimportant, just because I have nothing to give. So
you call this your free country, tell me why it cost so much to live…”
