Triple Lyric Tuesday

It appears I have the flu, so no cleverly witty introductions today, just my three lyric choices.

Enjoy:

“No matter how many times that you told me you wanted to leave.  No matter how many breaths that you took, you still couldn’t breathe.  No matter how many nights, that you lied wide awake to the sound of the poison rain, where did you go?  Where did you go?  Where did you go?…”

~ Hurricane by: Thirty Seconds to Mars ft. Kanye West

“I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment’s gone.  All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity…”

~ Dust in the Wind by: Kansas

Here’s one for all of my fellow gamers:

“In you and I, there’s a new land –  Angels in flight – My sanctuary, my sanctuary, yeah.  Where fears and lies, melt away –  Music will tie – What’s left of me, what’s left of me now…”

~ Sanctuary (Kingdom Hearts II) by: Utada Hikaru

One response to “Triple Lyric Tuesday”

  1. The Kansas track is beautiful. Despite their history they are a band that slipped under my radar. I’ll head off to YouTube for a bit later I think. Utada Hikaru is a name I am familiar with through my children. She uses some nice elements of classical, pop and rock in her work, I think.
A couple of lyric snippets for you to peruse –

    ‘I carried this letter
    all through the winter
in fear of what it might say
    I know the reasons
    they change so fast
and we can never make it back’

‘The Letter’ by The Black Heart Procession

‘I’m the one who reads your mind
See my life in your design
    True companion at your side
I’ll give you something, for when I’m not around,
    To make you smile
And if you think it then it must be true’

‘Wherever You Are’ by Neil Finn

Thanks for the post, and hope you enjoy my selections.
