The Daily Prompt is asking: S’mores, salty ocean breezes, veggie burgers on the grill, sweaty people on the bus — what’s the smell you associate the most with summer?
My ultimate, favorite, all-telling aroma of summer is freshly cut grass. There is just something about it that causes all of those wonderful childhood memories to come flooding back and dance around in my mind with warm pastels. Another telltale sign that summer has finally hit the Pacific NW, is the heady fragrance of grills being fired up for burgers, dogs and steaks (or BBQ chicken!) Campfire smoke, new green life… these will always be my olfactory’s choice signals for the sunny season.
