I may have mentioned almost every day a couple times this week that I’m dedicating this last run of October to straight-up Halloween songs. Just not the actual Halloween song; you know, the one that plays every time Michael Myers comes on screen? Yeah, that’s my sister’s ringtone every October. Well, it’s between that and Rob Zombie’s wife screaming bloody murder.
Yes, the Darkside runs in the family.
Speaking of… NINETEEN (yes, 19) years ago today, I gave birth to my oldest son. His due date was actually the 30th and I may have secretly been hoping for a Halloween delivery, but I’m glad that didn’t happen, because he got to wear the cutest black cat infant costume for his first Halloween party – at 6 days old. Hey, you gotta start ’em young! 🎃
So, in honor of my eldest’s birthday today, I have chosen one of his favorite movie songs of all time: “Cry, Little Sister” by Gerard McMann from The Lost Boys soundtrack. As I mentioned before, he totally takes after me when it comes to music and likewise, movies.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUD, Love ya!!! ❤️
