#RocktoberMusicFest ♫ “Cry, Little Sister” – The Lost Boys Soundtrack

I may have mentioned almost every day a couple times this week that I’m dedicating this last run of October to straight-up Halloween songs. Just not the actual Halloween song; you know, the one that plays every time Michael Myers comes on screen? Yeah, that’s my sister’s ringtone every October. Well, it’s between that and Rob Zombie’s wife screaming bloody murder.

Yes, the Darkside runs in the family.

Speaking of… NINETEEN (yes, 19) years ago today, I gave birth to my oldest son. His due date was actually the 30th and I may have secretly been hoping for a Halloween delivery, but I’m glad that didn’t happen, because he got to wear the cutest black cat infant costume for his first Halloween party – at 6 days old. Hey, you gotta start ’em young! 🎃

So, in honor of my eldest’s birthday today, I have chosen one of his favorite movie songs of all time: “Cry, Little Sister” by Gerard McMann from The Lost Boys soundtrack. As I mentioned before, he totally takes after me when it comes to music and likewise, movies.

  1. I LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK! I apologize for yelling, but IT’S ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF ALL-TIME. Thou shall not fall….. thou shall not fear…. thou shall not kill…………

Methinks I’ll watch this movie again, for the zillionth time, this weekend.

P.S. Happy Birthday to your boy!

    1. LOL yelling is totally acceptable and appreciated when it’s done with enthusiasm! 😀 Thanks, Tara!

  2. Melody,

I did see ‘The Lost Boys’ on Netflix. Keifer Sutherlands plays creepy very well. This song is a bit creepy, too. I don’t recall it but it’s a great fun for the film and for the Halloween theme you have going.

Happy Birthday to your kiddo! They sure do grow up fast. It seems like yesterday my oldest was born but that was 30-years ago and now she’s a mama.

    1. He does play creepy really well, I agree. I’m actually surprised that he didn’t do more creepy parts throughout his career. Thanks for the birthday wishes! 🙂 Yes, they do grow fast, but I’m also okay with it, having all boys, I find they just get more fun as they get older – and they tend to listen a little better with age, too! LOL
