From what I’ve seen, Jared Leto is not taking the new Joker movie very well, and I can’t say I blame him. It sounds like someone in Hollywood led him to believe that he’d be getting his own Joker movie after playing the role in Suicide Squad – and then, it didn’t happen. Poor Mr. J. 😦 At least they can’t keep him from making amazing music!

Thirty Seconds to Mars is pretty well known for their unique–often cinematic–music videos, and this one is no exception. It’s actually award winning, according to Wikipedia and Jared Leto was reported as stating the video is a “celebration of art and movement.” All I know is that it’s not dull in any possible way. 😀 Plus, it’s got Dita Von Teese in it, and who doesn’t love her??? (I first saw her years ago on an episode of Oddities – it’s not odd for a burlesque dancer to have a feather fetish, is it?) The video also stars various artists from around the world, Olympic gymnasts, performers from Cirque du Soleil, and random wild animals – There is a section in the beginning of the credits dedicated to showing who is who with their names.

“Up in the Air” was the lead single off of the Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams album released in 2013, which offered 30S2M fans an evolved or newer sound than previous albums. While the video won accolades, the song never hit #1 on any of the charts, but did reach #3 on the Alternative Songs chart and #4 on the Rock Airplay chart (both Billboards).

Fun Fact: Jared Leto teamed up with NASA and the very first recorded copy of this song “premiered on the same day from the International Space Station, after being launched aboard a spacecraft loaded with scientific experiments and other equipment” – Wikipedia
