Music Monday | New Kid in Town

It’s the final ‘Holiday Edition’ of Music Monday, here to celebrate the New Year with the theme: New.

New Kid in Town has always been my favorite Eagles song. While everyone else was rocking Hotel California or Life in the Fast Lane, I was loving this slower jam. This song captured me from the start, speaking to the storyteller in me by proving just how powerful words can be. Because you don’t need a lot, just the perfect combination of a few can deliver an emotional impact.

The Eagles’s infallible skills of harmonizing certainly helps drive home all those feels, too.
