#RocktoberMusicFest ♫ “Seven Nation Army” – The White Stripes

Speaking of musicians dabbling in the movie industry: Former White Stripes singer, Jack White’s best-known supporting acting role was as Georgia in Cold Mountain starring Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellwegger. However, his IMDb profile has an impressive list of movies and TV shows he’s contributed to as a composer, producer, actor and he’s even written episodes for some of TV’s most popular shows like Peaky Blinders, Lucifer, CSIHouse and Gotham – just to name a few out of many, many more.

I think everyone is quite familiar with “Seven Nation Army” as it still receives air time and has been used on numerous soundtracks since its debut. I will always find “Well It’s True That We Love One Another” from their album Elephant hilarious. The greatest thing about The White Stripes is all the tracks with the best musical compositions have the oddest lyrics, which just makes listening and singing along to them amusing – but it’s like going into the fun house at a carnival, your brain can only handle so much manipulated madness before needing a break.

Fun Fact: White is Jacks’s married name and Meg’s maiden name. When they wed, he snubbed convention and took his bride’s last name as his own, instead of the other way around. Up until their wedding day, he was Jack Gillis.
